The Top Benefits of Exfoliating the Face

Get your face glowing with the power of exfoliation!

BUT FIRST, WHAT IS EXFOLIATING SKIN?

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells from the skin’s surface using chemical (think AHA/BHA & glycolic acids), granular substances (think scrubs) or exfoliation tools (our personal fave).

When it comes to face exfoliation, it’s all about finding the right balance. Since the skin on our face tends to be the most sensitive, not over-doing it is key. For example, if you’re using a facial buffer from CleanLogic, we wouldn’t recommend using a granular scrub AND an AHA serum in the same routine. Basically, mix it up and always listen to your skin!

Why we love it? According to the American Academy of Dermatology, exfoliation can leave skin with a brighter appearance (Hello, glow!) while improving the effectiveness of your serums, moisturizers and creams. This promotes a more radiant, youthful-looking complexion!

THERE’S AN EXFOLIATING BATH TOOL FOR EVERYONE

Keep reading to learn about the benefits of exfoliating your face and what professional spa products we’ve been loving lately:

DUAL TEXTURE FACE CLOTH: Not only great for the planet, but for your skin too! A reusable makeup remover cloth helps to remove debris, makeup and oils from the skin, while the microfiber face cloth fabric aids in exfoliating the skin. You call it your best makeup remover, we call it the best of both worlds.

FACIAL BUFFERS: Facial skin buffers and cleansers are a match made in exfoliation heaven! Our face washcloth mitt is gentle enough to use every day with your favorite facial cleanser for an effective scrub and cleanse.

Logic(al) Advice: Use the facial cleansing cloths to remove face masks too! Simply run the washcloth over warm water and gently remove.

SO YOUR FACE FEELS BABY SOFT. NOW WHAT?

Even though your skin is feeling all kinds of clean, you still need to add moisture back into your skin’s surface. Make sure to apply a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to your skin after exfoliating the face!
